INGRAM ARTIST STATEMENT
Bruce Allen Ingram was raised on his families tobacco farm by his Great Uncle John O’ Floyd the son of Steven Joe Floyd who was slave that live to be 114 years old.
He had been told old stories from a very young age and that inspires him to tell them through his Artwork.
Also living in the Segregated South in the 1960s and 1970’s, the Civil Rights movement plays a big part in the Art pieces he creates.
God’s will is for him to tell the stories, and to use the gift God gave him and he puts it in his artwork.
There is a story and message through all his Artwork to tell and teach the Young And Old a like. The main message is always in his painting is the eyes
“God’s is always Watching”.
